It's been almost two weeks since our last meetup (unfortunately Covid threw a bit of a spanner in the works) so while it's very last minute I thought it would be good to have a get together this evening and perhaps plan for another one in the week some time to keep the momentum going.

Given that we will soon have 18 sheets of plywood to work with (Materials) I'm keen to brainstorm the best way to use it to fit out the internal of the container taking into account the ideas so far.

I'm also keen to keep some elements of the original concept - a 'quirky laboratory' into which project will be incorporated? How will the infrastructure required; power, water, light etc. be incorporated? How do we make the internal space as flexible as possible to incorporate a wide range of projects that will change over time?

Happy to put on a short film if anybody has any suggestions - if any children are coming you get first choice.

Join us for an informal fun get together at the mini retro arcade to round off the long weekend. A chance to introduce new people to the project (feel free to bring a friend) and share your ideas/designs for the project or just play.

Brings drinks/snacks to share if you can but otherwise just come along.

Join us this Sunday for another film and our second brainstorming, building on previous discussions and ideas generated so far. Come along for the film, the brainstorming session or both. The film will start at 5pm and we'll then have a group discussion from around 6:30pm. Feel free to suggest a film and bring snacks to share if you can.

Now that it looks like we have a few days of dry weather it's a good time to go and visit the Earth Lab container to at least paint the Earth Lab logo on the side and make our mark. This will hopefully be a good photo opportunity to promote the project. The container is not pretty, but we'll hopefully change that over the year.

If you have spare leftover outdoors paint suitable for painting the logo on the container please bring it down. Early tomorrow night (Friday) the plan is to go down with a projector/laser system when it's dark enough to mark out a rough layout if anybody wants to come down and help do that.
